The Gruppo Otologico is a premier skull base surgery and otologic center in Italy and Europe. The institute is involved with a tremendous volume of surgical and research activities. Two very advance surgical training courses are also conducted in the institute each year. The institute is dedicated to the training of both local and foreign young surgeons. In view of the prestigious and renowned standing of the institute internationally, the institute offers a Fellowship programme. The fellowship programme is a training programme that is offered to ENT & Neurosurgeons who wish to come over to the institute to acquire advance surgical techniques as well as to get involved in research and development.
The Gruppo Otologico offer four fellowships every year which are recognized by the Associazione Italiana Neurotologica (AINOT) and the European Academy of Otology & Neurotology (EAONO). The fellowships can be for six months or one year. In view of the large number of aspirants, applications are invited two years in advance. Two fellowships positions are open for January 2015 for which the last date of application is June 2013 and another two in July 2015 for which the last date of application is December 2013. We follow a policy that is non discriminant and selection is by merit only. Interested applicants from any nationality can apply.
The fellows are expected to participate in clinical activities, research & paper publications, teaching and temporal bone dissections. They will also be encouraged to participate and present papers in conferences and academic meetings.
